Ted Lucas is the head of investment strategies and solutions for Hartford Funds. In this role, he leads our in-house investment teams and partners with resources across the organization to accelerate growth of products powered by Hartford Funds.

Ted joined Hartford Funds in 2016 in connection with the firm’s acquisition of Lattice Strategies, a San Francisco-based investment management firm he founded in 2003.

Prior to founding Lattice Strategies, Ted served in senior investment leadership and strategy roles at several firms, including investment advisory firm MCP Chess Group LLC, as a board member of Chess Venture Partners, a private investment firm focused on financial services and financial technology companies, as a director at Mint Investment Management LLC, an affiliate of Man Group PLC specializing in multi-asset class strategies in the equity, fixed-income, currency, and commodity markets, and as head of U.S. strategy for Barclays.

Ted holds a BA from Gordon College.
