Background

Jason M. Goins, CFA, is an equity research analyst on the Global Impact Team. Jason conducts fundamental analysis on global equity investments, primarily focused on companies in the education, real estate, water utility, and financial technology sectors.

Prior to joining the Global Impact Team, Jason spent more than a decade working on Wellington’s Emerging Companies Team, a small-cap focused product, where his broad coverage included materials, real estate, insurance, leisure, gaming, lodging, and restaurant companies.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2007, Jason worked as an equity analyst at Franklin Templeton Investments (2001 – 2005), where he covered precious metals and base materials companies, as well as select waste and alternative energy companies. While at Franklin, he co-managed the Franklin Gold and Precious Metals Fund (2003 – 2005).

Jason earned his MBA from Harvard Business School (2007) and his AB in psychology from Harvard College (2001). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
